Yifei Wang is a recognised leader in artificial intelligence, infrastructure innovation, and sustainable technology, with a strong track record of delivering investment-driven growth across industry, government, and research sectors.

He is the Founder and CEO of AIBUILD Pty Ltd, a Melbourne-based technology consultancy specialising in AI, digital twins, and virtual reality solutions for sectors including infrastructure, education, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing. Since founding AIBUILD in 2017, he has created over 20 local jobs and helped secure over $20 million in public funding through ARC, CRC, and AEA programs.

Yifei is a named investigator on several major national research initiatives, including the ARC Research Hub for Infrastructure Net Zero, the ARC Training Centre for Whole Life Design of Carbon Neutral Infrastructure, and the ARC Nanoscience-based Construction Material Manufacturing initiative — all of which contribute to Australia’s transition to a low-emissions, innovation-led economy. He also leads a $2.3 million CRC-P project focused on AI-driven supply chain optimisation for SMEs.

As a Distinguished Talent visa recipient, Yifei actively mentors international founders, researchers, and investors through the Global Talent program, supporting their entry into Melbourne’s innovation ecosystem and helping retain high-impact talent and capital locally. He is also building investment pathways with international partners, including U.S.-based tech leaders from the Y Combinator network, to bring emerging companies into Melbourne as a strategic launchpad for the Asia-Pacific region.
